PHYSICOCHEMICAL SYSTEMS LAB. I
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
In
the ChE 201 laboratory, students will work in groups of two, or three. Each
group member is fully responsible for all group activities. Students will
perform 6 experiments during the semester.
Every
student must wear lab. coats
in the laboratory. Those who have not a lab. coat will not perform the
experiment and get zero. In addition, every group must have a lab.
notebook which will be signed at the end of the experiment by the assistant. All lab notebooks will be collected at the end of
the semester. If there is an experiment which is not signed, the students will
get zero for that experiment.
Students
will take a quiz before the experiment. Everyone must get at least 40/100 in order to perform the experiment. If not,
student will get zero for that experiment. So, before you come to the lab.
session read carefully the experiment sheet and learn how the experiment is
performed, what the subject is, the name of the experiment is, etc.
Students
must also come to the lab session on time. If you come to the lab session late you will not
be allowed to perform the experiment and will get zero for that experiment.
Lab
reports must be submitted till next weeks lab session, no later than 5:00 PM,
to the assistant of the experiment or Duygu Dikiciolu (KB 441). 10 points/day
will be subtracted from the report grade, if the reports arent submitted on
their appropriate deadlines.

reports should have the following format:

Lab.
reports must be written or printed neatly and orderly. Do not use pencil in
your reports, even in graphs. Use curves for drawing the graphs and be careful
in margins and in labeling, etc. Do not use color pens (red, green).
In
addition, reports must have a cover page, which includes the name and the code
number of the course, experiment title and number, names of the group members,
number of the groups, name of the assistant, date of the experiment and
submission date of the report.
